The Annual Free Watermelon Feed, co-hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 6:30 P.M. at Big Spring Park, 308 West Spring St., Neosho, MO 64850.
The Free Watermelon Feed is open to all Republicans. Ice cold watermelon and bottled water will be provided—free of charge. All you need to bring are your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.
Featured speakers for this year’s Free Watermelon Feed will be 7th District US Congressman Billy Long and Missouri State Senator for the 32nd District Ron Richard.
A straw poll will be available to those in attendance. The straw poll ballot will serve as entries into a drawing for a prize. Featured prizes include: 12 gauge ammunition, .22 ammunition, the book America the Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made This Nation Great by Ben Carson M.D., and the book Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One by Zev Chafets. The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the Free Watermelon Feed. There will be four winners in all; winners on hand for the drawing will have first choice of prizes available.
In case of rain the Free Watermelon Feed will be moved to the Lampo Building, 500 E Spring Street, Neosho, MO 64850 at 6:30 P.M.
Bring your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.
