District 1

Congressman Billy long to speak at Newton County HQ opening.
The Newton County Republican Central Committee will be hosting the Grand Opening of the Newton County Republican Headquarters on Thursday August 16th at 5:00PM. The HQ is on the Westside of the Neosho Square located at 120 S. Wood, Neosho, MO.
Congressman Billy Long will address the attendees.
All interested Republicans and voters from Southwest Missouri are invited to attend the Newton County HQ Grand Opening and visit with Congressman Billy Long. Citizens will be able to register to vote at the event.
Newton County had a 25.91% turnout this election.

This years watermelon feed was a huge success. It had a crowd of 300 people in attendence. Both Statewide and County candidates attended the event and were given three minutes each to address the crowd. Chairman Davd Cole was in attendence as well. State Senator Ron Richard spoke over the amendment 2 that will appear on the August 7, 2012 primary ballot.
The Watermelon Feed was held on Tuesday July 31, 2012 in Neosho’s Big Spring Park at 6:30 pm. It is a joint event hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee. Watermelon and water was provided to the crowd.
