Annual Free Watermelon Feed July 28th-Big Spring Park, MO
Governor Mike Parson, Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, MO State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick, and MO State Senator Bill White will speak at the 2020 Annual Free Watermelon Feed.
NEOSHO, MO (July 16, 2020)—The Annual Free Watermelon Feed, co-hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 6:30 P.M. at Big Spring Park, 308 West Spring St., Neosho, MO 64850.
Governor Mike Parson, Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, MO State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick, and MO State Senator Bill White will speak at the 2020 Annual Free Watermelon Feed. The program will feature 3-minute candidate speeches by the 7 contested candidates for Newton County Courthouse races for Commissioner District 1 & 2 and County surveyor, all subject to time-keeper Judge Greg Stremel.
The Free Watermelon Feed is open to all Republicans. Ice cold watermelon and bottled water will be provided—free of charge. All you need to bring is your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.
Governor Parson is a veteran who served six years in the U.S. Army. He served more than 22 years in law enforcement as the sheriff of Polk County. He also served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005-2011, in the Missouri Senate from 2011-2017, and as Lieutenant Governor in 2017-2018. Lt. Gov. Kehoe was elected to serve as a State Senator for the Sixth Senatorial District in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Lt. Gov. Kehoe has experience as a small businessman and operates a beef cattle production on his family farm in Phelps County. Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick was sworn in as Missouri’s 47th Treasurer on January 14, 2019. Treasurer Fitzpatrick is a former State Representative elected in 2012 at the age of 25 to represent Barry and portions of Stone and Lawrence Counties. Our State Senator Bill White will also be speaking at the event about Amendment 3.
A straw quiz will be available to those in attendance. The straw quiz will serve as entry into a drawing for prizes. Featured prizes include “Make America Great Again” shirts and hats,12 gauge, and .22 ammunition. The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the Free Watermelon Feed. Trump yard signs will be available at the event.
Bring your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors. Social distancing guidelines are encouraged.
