2020 ANNUAL FREE BEAN FEED

2020 Annual Free Bean Feed Featuring Gov. Mike Parson & U.S. Congressman Billy Long. 

NEOSHO, MO (September 22, 2020) The Annual Free Bean Feed, hosted by the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held Thursday, October 29th at the Neosho High School Cafeteria 511 S Neosho Blvd, Neosho, MO 64850. Doors open at 5:30PM and the buffet line will start at 6:00PM.  

The featured speakers are Gov. Mike Parson & U.S. Congressman Billy Long. MO Senator Bill White will be giving a presentation on MO Constitutional questions on the November ballot. More speakers will be added. 

We will be recruiting volunteers to work our 72-hour plan including election day efforts. 

The menu will include Ham and Beans, Cornbread, Dessert, and Iced Tea.   

The Republican Women of Newton County (RWNC) will be hosting a silent auction at the Bean Feed. Items will include President Donald Trump items, framed Reagan & Lincoln pictures, and a raffle. If you are interested in donating items for the Silent Auction, please contact RWNC President Naomi Baker at 417-592-3880. You can also help by bringing your checkbook and bidding. 

We invite all our Republican friends from across Southwest Missouri.  Bring your friends and neighbors and please pass along this information to anyone that may be interested in attending.  

To ensure enough seating and food for the event, a head count will need to be provided to our caterers. Annual Fee Watermelon Feed July 28th-Big Spring Park, Neosho

 

Governor Mike Parson, Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, MO State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick, and MO State Senator Bill White will speak at the 2020 Annual Free Watermelon Feed.

NEOSHO, MO (July 16, 2020)—The Annual Free Watermelon Feed, co-hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 6:30 P.M. at Big Spring Park, 308 West Spring St., Neosho, MO 64850.

Governor Mike Parson, Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, MO State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick, and MO State Senator Bill White will speak at the 2020 Annual Free Watermelon Feed.  The program will feature 3-minute candidate speeches by the 7 contested candidates for Newton County Courthouse races for Commissioner District 1 & 2 and County surveyor, all subject to time-keeper Judge Greg Stremel.

The Free Watermelon Feed is open to all Republicans. Ice cold watermelon and bottled water will be provided—free of charge.  All you need to bring is your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.

Governor Parson is a veteran who served six years in the U.S. Army. He served more than 22 years in law enforcement as the sheriff of Polk County. He also served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005-2011, in the Missouri Senate from 2011-2017, and as Lieutenant Governor in 2017-2018.  Lt. Gov. Kehoe was elected to serve as a State Senator for the Sixth Senatorial District in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Lt. Gov. Kehoe has experience as a small businessman and operates a beef cattle production on his family farm in Phelps County. Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick was sworn in as Missouri’s 47th Treasurer on January 14, 2019.  Treasurer Fitzpatrick is a former State Representative elected in 2012 at the age of 25 to represent Barry and portions of Stone and Lawrence Counties. Our State Senator Bill White will also be speaking at the event about Amendment 3.   

A straw quiz will be available to those in attendance.  The straw quiz will serve as entry into a drawing for prizes.  Featured prizes include “Make America Great Again” shirts and hats,12 gauge, and .22 ammunition.   The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the Free Watermelon Feed. Trump yard signs will be available at the event. 

Bring your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.  Social distancing guidelines are encouraged.

Newton County Candidate Fair 6/16/2020

The 2020 Newton County Republican Candidate Fair, hosted by the Newton County Republican Central Committee (NCRCC), will be held Tuesday, June 16th at the Lampo Building, 500 E. Spring Street, Neosho, MO 64850.  Doors will open at 5:30PM. The program begins at 6PM.

All seven contested Newton County Courthouse candidates appearing on the August 4, 2020 Republican Primary ballot have confirmed to us that they will attend and participate.  Each contested Newton County Courthouse candidate will have their own table for campaign materials and visiting with voters.  During the program, candidates will address the attendees for 3 minutes each; subject a timekeeper Judge Jake Skouby.  Candidates will speak in the order they appear on the ballot.  Incumbent office holders will have the option to speak last.

Contested Newton County Courthouse offices are listed below in ballot order: Commissioner District #1: Alan Cook, Rich Matters; Commissioner District #2: David Osborn, Jonathan Rousseau, Rick McCully; and Surveyor: Brian A. Atnip, Jerry Wood.

All interested Republicans from Newton County are invited to attend. Please help us spread the word by inviting your friends and neighbors to attend.  Due to social distancing guidelines, we may move the event outdoors at the Lampo building, please bring lawn chairs to the event.

Newton-Jasper Lincoln Day Dinner

Due to concerns of COVID-19 and in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations of limiting gatherings of 50 people or more,  Governor Parsons' campaign has requested we postpone our Annual Newton-Jasper Lincoln Day Dinner. 
No date has been set as of yet; but the Joint Newton-Jasper Lincoln Day Planning Committee is looking to reschedule for late summer or early fall.   
If you have already purchased tickets, your purchase will still valid for when the event is rescheduled.  We will provide updated tickets at a time closer to the reschedule date.
We wish that you and your loved ones remain in good health.

Statewide Lincoln Days Feb. 21st-22nd

2019 Annual Free Watermelon Feed

 

 

U.S. Congressman Billy Long, Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, MO Speaker of the House Elijah Haahr, and MO State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick will speak at the 2019 Annual Free Watermelon Feed.

NEOSHO, MO (July 9, 2019)—The Annual Free Watermelon Feed, co-hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 6:30 P.M. at Big Spring Park, 308 West Spring St., Neosho, MO 64850.

The Free Watermelon Feed is open to all Republicans. Ice cold watermelon, bottled water, and ice-cream made in Newton County by All Aboard Ice Cream Co. will be provided—free of charge (ice cream courtesy of Elect Bill White).   All you need to bring is your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.

U.S. Representative Billy Long was elected to represent Missouri’s 7th Congressional District in 2010.  Congressman Long, a realtor and auctioneer by trade, brings real life entrepreneurial experience to the U.S. House of Representatives.  Congressman Long sits on the House Energy and Commerce Committee where he serves on three crucial subcommittees: Communications and Technology, Environment and Climate Change and Health. Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe was appointed to his position on June 18, 2018.  Lt. Gov. Kehoe was elected to serve as a State Senator for the Sixth Senatorial District in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Lt. Gov. Kehoe has experience as a small businessman and operates a beef cattle production on his family farm in Phelps County. Missouri Speaker Elijah Haahr was elected to represent south central Springfield (District 134) in November of 2012.  Elijah is an attorney with Lathrop Gage and focuses his practice on workers’ compensation and civil litigation. Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick was sworn in as Missouri’s 47th Treasurer on January 14, 2019.  Treasurer Fitzpatrick is a former State Representative elected in 2012 at the age of 25 to represent Barry and portions of Stone and Lawrence Counties.
